Description
Zurita’s etching “Dogma Breve” allows appreciating the excellent technique of both the artist and the engraver Ana Villén, who achieved this magnificent artwork. By following an etching technique, Zurita drew on an isolating varnish layer applied on a metal plate. Afterwards, the metal plate was exposed to an acid solution that eroded the areas the artist had scratched. Lines’ depth depends on the time the plate is exposed to the acid, thus concentrating more ink and producing darker lines.
